SlideLine — Professional Gantt Charts for PowerPoint

SlideLine is a PowerPoint task pane add-in that builds professional Gantt charts using native PowerPoint shapes — no images, no workarounds, no separate application required.

Enter your tasks, set your dates, and click Generate. SlideLine draws your chart directly on the current slide using real PowerPoint shapes that you can move, resize, recolor, or delete like any other element in your presentation.

Key Features

Native PowerPoint shapes — every bar, label, and milestone is a real PowerPoint shape. Nothing is locked or grouped into an image.

Swimlanes — organize tasks into named, color-coded swimlane groups by team, phase, or workstream. Toggle swimlanes on or off per chart. Collapse individual swimlanes to reduce scrolling in the task pane.

Milestones — mark key dates with milestone shapes at any point on the timeline. Choose between diamond, circle, or star shapes per milestone.

Task bar shapes — choose between rectangle, rounded, or chevron bar styles for each task independently.

One-click regeneration — edit your task data in the pane and click Regenerate. SlideLine removes the previous chart and redraws from your latest data instantly.

Data saved in the .pptx file — your project data is embedded directly in the PowerPoint file. Share the file and your data travels with it — no cloud account required.

CSV import and export — import tasks from a spreadsheet using the provided template, or export your current tasks back to CSV at any time.

Drag-and-drop reordering — drag tasks up and down within a swimlane or flat task list to reorder them.

Color themes — choose from built-in color themes including a white/light theme, or set custom colors per swimlane and per task.

Percent complete — show progress as a filled portion of each task bar, with the percentage displayed inside the bar.

Today indicator — mark today's date on the chart with a triangle, line, or shaded fill.

Legend — add a color-coded legend at the bottom of the chart explaining swimlane colors.

Grid lines — show or hide vertical grid lines across task bars independently of the date bar.

Multi-year support — year labels and thicker boundary lines automatically appear when the chart spans more than one calendar year.

Date bar position — place the month header at the top or bottom of the chart.

Auto-scaling — charts with more than 17 tasks scale proportionally to fit the slide without truncation.

How It Works

1. Install SlideLine from Microsoft AppSource — it appears as a task pane inside PowerPoint with no separate download needed.

2. Enter your tasks, dates, and swimlane assignments in the task pane — or import from a CSV file.

3. Click Generate. Your Gantt chart is drawn on the current slide using native PowerPoint shapes.

4. Edit your data anytime and click Regenerate to rebuild the chart instantly from your updated data.
