C01 is a versatile solution designed to streamline your workflows efficiently.
In architecting Quartz, we adopted a set of guiding principles designed to support clients through the next evolutionary phase of financial services:
i) Cloud-Native Architecture – Leveraging Microsoft Azure to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data access. This has enabled the reengineering of processes to achieve unprecedented levels of straight-through processing (STP).
ii) Low-Code Development – Empowering users to configure and adapt the system, supporting flexibility across operating models and jurisdictions.
iii) Investment Vehicle Agnostic – Allowing users to define new instrument types and behaviours. Tokenisation, for example, was not developed as a standalone capability; it integrates naturally within the existing architecture.
iv) Robust Data Foundation – Built on a single, well-structured Microsoft SQL Server database, enabling seamless reporting via Microsoft Power BI for both internal management and client use.
Using tokenisation as an example:
- Quartz treats tokenised assets as just another instrument type—there is no need for a separate system.
- It removes the fragmentation typically seen between blockchain data and traditional fund accounting models.
- Investor onboarding and wallet integration sit within the same operating framework as traditional custody, eliminating parallel “crypto” environments.
- Pre-trade compliance shifts the industry model from post-trade breach detection to proactive prevention—even for tokenised assets.
- A single OMS supports both traditional and tokenised execution seamlessly.
- The STP model aligns with atomic settlement, significantly reducing reconciliation breaks.
- There is no duplication between blockchain records and internal books, driving reconciliation requirements close to zero.
- Tokenised assets are valued within the same NAV engine as traditional assets—addressing a major industry pain point.
- End-to-end auditability is achieved without manual intervention.
In essence, we are not simply supporting tokenisation—we are addressing its most fundamental industry challenge: how to integrate tokenised assets into institutional-grade operating models. Quartz enables clients to trade, settle, and account for tokenised assets with the same control, compliance, and automation as traditional securities—within a single, real-time platform.
We are confident that these principles position Quartz to accommodate future innovations in investment instruments. Its single database, unified processing model, and multi-jurisdictional capabilities will also allow clients to fully realise the transformative potential of agentic AI in the years ahead.
