The P6 Resource Histogram is a Power BI custom visual purpose-built for Primavera P6 project controls professionals. It transforms raw P6 Excel exports into dynamic, interactive resource loading charts — displaying Budgeted Units, Actual Units, Remaining Early Units, and Remaining Late Units side by side across Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters, or Years. Load data directly from a P6 Excel export file or bind live Power BI fields. Smart column detection handles any column order and gracefully manages missing fields. Cascading filters let you drill down by Project, Resource Type, Resource Name, Resource ID, and Activity ID, with all selections persisted across page navigation. The X-axis dynamically trims to show only periods containing data, updating interactively with every filter change. Additional features include a configurable Data Date line, stacked or grouped bar modes, fully customizable colors, titles, legends, and complete Windows High Contrast accessibility support.
