SQL Server 2025 Enterprise on Windows Server 2025

por Derek Coleman & Associates Corporation

SQL Server 2025 Enterprise or Developer on Windows Server 2025, Gen2 Trusted Launch, patched

You get SQL Server 2025 on Windows Server 2025 Datacenter as a Generation 2 VM with Trusted Launch, in Enterprise edition for production or Developer edition for development and test, patched at build and running at first boot. The images were built on 17 October 2026 from Microsoft's SQL Server 2025 marketplace images, with Windows and SQL updates applied, Microsoft Edge current and the Windows Update and firewall services left on.

Choose a plan

  • Enterprise: SQL Server 2025 Enterprise, core-based licensing, for production workloads
  • Developer: SQL Server 2025 Enterprise Developer edition, with every Enterprise feature, which Microsoft licenses for development, testing and demonstration only and not for production

What's included

  • SQL Server 2025 (17.0.5015.4) in the edition of the plan you choose
  • Windows Server 2025 Datacenter (build 26100.33650, October 2026 update) with Microsoft Edge 155
  • The sa login disabled: sign in with the administrator account you create at deployment

After deployment

  • Set the administrator user name and password at deployment and allow inbound RDP (port 3389) from your own IP address only.
  • To reach SQL Server from other machines, allow port 1433 only from the addresses that need it, in the Windows Firewall and the network security group (NSG, the firewall rules Azure applies to the VM).

Why this image

  • A fresh build checked on a deployed test VM before publishing: SQL Server running with the expected edition, no build accounts or certificates left behind, and the Azure Marketplace certification rubric passed
  • Email support at support@dcassociatesgroup.com and a quick-start page at www.dcassociatesgroup.com/support/

How it runs on Azure

The VM runs in your own Azure subscription and virtual network. Billing is pay-as-you-go on your Azure invoice: an hourly software charge per vCPU, the Windows Server licence and, for the Enterprise plan, the SQL Server Enterprise licence that Microsoft bills through Azure, plus standard Azure compute and storage.
