The Keyfactor PQC Lab Test Drive is a free, cloud-hosted playground where you can generate, issue, and validate quantum-ready certificates in a safe environment, no setup or infrastructure required.

Quantum computers will eventually render today’s encryption algorithms obsolete. Whether that’s two years or ten, the move to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is already underway. The PQC Lab helps you get started now: hands-on, at zero cost.

The PQC Lab includes EJBCA Enterprise and SignServer Enterprise, preconfigured with support for NIST’s standard PQC algorithms. Within 20-30 minutes, you will have a fully functional PKI and signing environment to explore PQC certificates and test quantum-safe signing.


What You Can Do

The PQC Lab Test Drive lets you gain practical, hands-on experience with post-quantum algorithms in real signing and certificate management workflows.


With Keyfactor EJBCA Enterprise

  • Generate and issue PQC certificates using enrollment protocols such as CMP, EST, ACME, and the EJBCA REST API.

  • View and manage issued certificates in the EJBCA interface.

  • Build a foundation for crypto-agility by testing quantum-safe PKI setups.

With Keyfactor SignServer Enterprise

  • Perform PQC signing and timestamping for files, hashes, time stamps, and software artifacts.

  • Use both the command line (CLI) and REST API to execute signing and validation operations.

  • Verify PQC signatures using OpenSSL and other standard verification tools.


How It Works

  1. Sign up for Keyfactor Test Drives and select PQC Lab.

  2. The Test Drive credentials and links to the How-to tutorials will be available in the Test Drive Management portal.

  3. Your environment runs for 30 days, then automatically expires.
