Free IFC Model Viewer with high performance for SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to view, analyze, and share IFC/BIM models in 3D. The IFC Viewer supports compliance with BIM standards and provides improved communication and documentation for construction projects.

Here's how to use the IFC Viewer in both SharePoint and Teams:

Microsoft SharePoint List View Mode:

• After installing the IFC Viewer, navigate to a SharePoint document library containing .ifc files.
• Select one or multiple .ifc file(s) you want to view.
• Click on the "View" command available in the list view. This action opens the selected IFC model(s) directly in the list view, allowing for immediate interaction and analysis.

Microsoft SharePoint Webpart Mode:

• The Webpart mode is designed for a more integrated viewing experience within SharePoint pages.
• You can embed the IFC Viewer Webpart to any SharePoint page.
• Once added, the Webpart allows users to view and interact with IFC models as part of the SharePoint page content, enhancing the user experience and providing a more interactive way to work with 3D models.

Microsoft Teams Tab Mode:

• The IFC Viewer can be added as a tab within a Microsoft Teams channel.
• To add it, go to the desired Teams channel, click on the '+' icon to add a tab, and select IFC Viewer from the available options.
• Note: The IFC Viewer must be deployed to the app catalog in Teams before it can be added as a tab.

IFC:

• Search elements
• Filter elements: Filter elements by IFC class or storey. Select one or multiple classes.
• Download Excel to Computer: Download the selected IFC element properties as an Excel file.
• View model details: Toggle to show or hide IFC model details.
• Open IFC from Computer: Supports IFC 2x3, IFC 4 and IFC 4x3. The file remains local and is never uploaded to a server.

BCF:

• Add new BCF topic: Add a new BCF topic and assign the current viewpoint.
• Download BCF to Computer: Download all topics as BCF file.
• Open BCF from Computer: Supports BCF 2.1, BCF 3 and Navisworks 2025 XML clash report. The file remains local and is never uploaded to a server.

Other Features:

• Fit Model: Center and zoom the model to fit the view.
• Lock Camera: Prevent any camera movement or rotation.
• Clipper: Toggle to activate or deactivate clipping planes. Double-click a surface to add a new clipping plane. Drag the arrow to adjust the position of the clipping plane.
• Measurement: Toggle to activate or deactivate the measurement. Single or double-click to create a new measurement. Supports edge, face, volume, length and area measurement.
• Floor Plans View: Toggle to activate or deactivate the floor plan view. Select a specific floor plan from the dropdown menu to view it.
• Show All: Make all hidden or visible elements visible.
• Toggle Element Visibility: Hide visible elements and show hidden elements for the selected elements.
• Isolate: Hide everything except the selected elements.
• Focus Selection: Center and zoom the selected elements to fit the view.
