Ventoo Address Validation verifies, corrects and completes Swiss and Liechtenstein addresses in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central automatically against the official address web service operated by Swiss Post (Die Schweizerische Post AG), using the free Address Assistant tier. Every address gets a clear result: correct and deliverable, a proposed correction or completion, or not found / not unique - shown as a simple traffic light right where your team works.

The app is built for companies that send invoices, reminders and deliveries by post and want clean address data early - while it can still be corrected. Validation runs in layers, from master-data entry through document entry to the physical invoice dispatch, so problems surface before they turn into returned mail, undeliverable invoices and rework.

Built for everyday accuracy

• Validation where it matters most. Addresses are checked on customer, ship-to, vendor, order-address, contact, company and responsibility-center cards, and on sales quotes, orders, invoices, credit memos and reminders - including one-time addresses that live only on a document.
• Notifications by default, blocking only where you want it. Every check point is a non-blocking hint by default; a hard block is recommended only at the posting gate, the last moment the address can still be corrected on the document.
• Layered gates across the sales process. Release, document-print, reminder, posting, print and send gates each validate the right address (bill-to, ship-to or reminder) at the right moment, with a per-gate Suggest-or-Block mode.
• Apply corrections in one click. When Swiss Post returns a standardized, corrected or completed address, a comparison fact box shows the difference and you write it back with a single click.
• Automatic background clean-up. A job queue sweeps your existing address base in batches, skips foreign and unchanged addresses cheaply, and respects the Swiss Post per-minute limit. Actionable results land on a worklist with Open / Done / Dismissed status, backed by a dedicated Address Data Steward role center and archive.
• Smart country gating and frugal API use. Only CH, LI and empty-country addresses are sent to Swiss Post; a normalized address hash prevents redundant repeat calls, so you stay well within the free tier.
• Role-based access. Two permission sets - Ventoo Address Validation and Ventoo Address Validation - Setup - separate day-to-day validation from service configuration, while the automatic flows run for every user without a permission error.

Privacy-friendly and ready to run

Ventoo Address Validation adds no extra fields to your master tables - all validation data lives in the app's own log and result tables. The Swiss Post password is stored encrypted in Business Central Isolated Storage and is never written to a table in clear text. After installation the app creates its setup record with sensible defaults, so you configure the connection, click Apply Recommended Defaults, and you're ready to go.
