Azure BCDR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) with Cohesity is a strategic framework and set of services designed to ensure that your applications, data, and workloads remain available and recoverable during planned or unplanned disruptions.​

Azure BCDR combines Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to help organizations maintain operations and recover quickly from outages, disasters, or cyberattacks.​ Business Continuity (BC): Ensures that essential business functions continue during and after a disaster.​ ⁠Disaster Recovery (DR): Focuses on restoring IT systems and data access after a disruption.​

Core Components of Azure BCDR:​ 1.⁠ ⁠Azure Site Recovery (ASR):​

• Replicates workloads (Files or Database) from a primary site to a secondary Azure region or on-premises location.​
• Enables automated failover and failback during outages.​

2.⁠ ⁠Backup to Azure by using Cohesity:​

• Provides secure, scalable backup solutions for data protection.​
• Supports backup for File and Folder.​

3.⁠ ⁠High Availability (HA):​

• Azure offers built-in HA features like Availability Zones, Availability Sets, and Load Balancers to reduce downtime.​

4.⁠ ⁠Geo-Redundancy:​

• Data and services can be replicated across multiple Azure regions to ensure resilience.

Key Metrics:​ •⁠ ⁠Recovery Time Objective (RTO): Maximum acceptable downtime after a disruption.​ •⁠ ⁠Recovery Point Objective (RPO): Maximum acceptable data loss measured in time.​

The cost of running this product is a combination of the selected software plan charges plus the Azure infrastructure costs for the virtual machines on which you will be running this software. Your Azure infrastructure price might vary if you have enterprise agreements or other discounts. Costs might vary by deployment region.​ This package limited only Backup Files using Cohesity.​
