Collections for Excel brings Contextualize's Carta Collections data-entry UI directly into Microsoft Excel — no context switching, no copy-pasting between tools.

What it does

Research teams use Contextualize's Form Builder to create structured JSON schemas for their projects. This add-in surfaces those schemas as fill-in forms inside Excel, letting researchers enter experimental data in the environment they already work in. Completed entries are validated against the project schema and submitted to the organization's connected backend without leaving the spreadsheet.

Account and Licensing

Collections for Excel requires an active Contextualize Carta account to sign in and use the add-in. Carta accounts are provisioned on an organizational basis through a contract with Contextualize — there is no self-serve individual sign-up and no in-app purchases. If your organization already has Carta, contact your administrator to request access. If your organization does not yet have a Carta subscription, contact Contextualize at customer.service@contextualize.us.com.
