CostGuard - Azure Cost Monitoring & Budget Alerts

CostGuard shows small SaaS teams where their Azure money goes, warns them before a budget or an Azure Sponsorship credit runs out, and flags services whose cost is growing fast. It only reads: it never creates, changes, stops or deletes anything in your Azure.

What you get

• Daily Azure cost by subscription, service, resource group and resource, compared with the previous period.
• The previous three months of cost imported when you connect; history grows from there.
• Budgets with email alerts: 5 on Starter, 20 on Growth, unlimited on Pro.
• Cost-growth checks: a service whose cost rose 30% or more in 14 days, storage that keeps growing, and one service taking half of a subscription's spend.
• Azure Sponsorship and Microsoft for Startups credit: the estimated run-out day at your current rate, with email alerts at 50, 75 and 90% used and when the credit will run out before its end date.
• A weekly email cost summary.
• On Pro: a month-end projection with what-if scenarios, PDF, Excel and CSV exports, cost ownership, unit economics and outbound webhooks for alerts.
• Subscriptions from several Microsoft Entra tenants in one workspace.
• The app in English, French, German, Chinese, Persian and Arabic.

• Pro: unlimited subscriptions and budgets, forecasting, exports and webhooks; refreshed every 6 hours.

How it connects

An admin consents to the CostGuard app in Microsoft Entra ID, then grants the built-in Reader role on the subscriptions you choose. No secret is shared with us. CostGuard runs in Azure Canada Central and is billed on your Azure invoice through Azure Marketplace. Azure credits (Sponsorship, Microsoft for Startups) do not pay for Marketplace SaaS, CostGuard included.
