Controlled Sales and Purchasing Segmentation extends Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with up to ten Segmentation Groups for Customers, Vendors, and Items. These Segmentation Groups can be configured to define structured business rules that determine which combinations are permitted in Sales and Purchase transactions.
Through Sales and Purchase Segmentation Matrices, organizations can control which Customers are allowed to purchase specific Items and which Vendors can supply particular Items. During transaction entry, the system automatically validates the Segmentation Group combinations and prevents the posting of non-approved relationships.
Segmentation values flow through to posted documents and ledger entries, ensuring full traceability for reporting, compliance, and audit analysis.
