Auto Contacts

by PURPOSEBUILT SYSTEMS LLC

Add the people you email to your contacts - with details filled in from their signatures.

Outlook remembers every address you've ever typed - but it never creates a real contact.

Your "contacts" live in an invisible autocomplete cache with no phone numbers, no job old email signature.

Auto Contacts fixes this with two buttons on the Outlook ribbon.

ADD TO CONTACTS - ONE CLICK

Open any email and click Add to Contacts. The sender becomes a real Outlook contact, with phone number, job title, company, and website automatically pulled from their email signature. On a message you sent, the recipients are added instead.

CONTACT SWEEP - CATCH UP IN BULK

Click Contact Sweep and scan your sent mail (you choose how far back). The pane lists everyone you've emailed who isn't in your contacts yet, each with a preview of the contact card parsed from their latest signature. Tick the ones you want, click Add selected, done. No-reply and automated senders are filtered out automatically.

RESPECTS WHAT YOU'VE ENTERED

If a person is already in your contacts, Auto Contacts only fills in blank fields. It never overwrites data you typed yourself.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN - WE COLLECT NO DATA

This add-in collects no data. None. There are no accounts, no analytics, no trackers, and no publisher server. Contacts are created by Microsoft Graph - Microsoft 365's own service - directly from your Outlook session, so your email and contacts never leave the

Microsoft 365 boundary and are never seen, stored, or shared by us. Signature parsing is simple pattern-matching that runs entirely in your own Outlook client - no AI service ever sees your email. The add-in uses only delegated Mail.Read and Contacts.ReadWrite permissions, restricted to your own mailbox.

WHO IT'S FOR

Anyone whose real network lives in their sent folder - project teams, sales and account staff, government and agency workers, consultants, and anyone who has ever scrolled old emails hunting for a phone number.

HOW TO USE

1. Open a received email and click "Add to Contacts" (first run: sign in with your mailbox account and consent - one time only).

2. Or click "Contact Sweep" to find and add everyone you've missed.

3. Find your new contacts in Outlook People, filled in and ready.

App capabilities

When this app is used, it
  • Can send data over the Internet
  • This app can access personal information on the active message, such as sender names, recipient names, email addresses, message body, and attachment information. Other items in your mailbox can’t be read or modified. Review the developer's privacy policy for more detail on how personal information is managed and processed.
