The Word add-in is a task pane that lets government users create, edit, and manage contract documents directly inside Microsoft Word. It handles authentication, loads documents from the platform into Word via Office.js, saves versions back to S3 through presigned URLs, and embeds the shared sidebar for checkout, versioning, and permissions — all without the user leaving their Word window.
