Extract embedded photos from VCF contact files on Windows. Batch, offline, JPG and PNG output.

VCF Contact Photo Extractor by Univik extracts embedded profile photos from VCF vCard files and saves them as standard JPG or PNG images — no email client, no phone sync, no cloud upload required.

What Is a VCF Contact Photo?
VCF vCard files store contact information in a portable text format. When a contact has a profile photo, it is embedded directly inside the VCF file as Base64-encoded binary data under the PHOTO property. This image is invisible to most contact management tools — they display the photo but provide no way to extract, save or export it as a standalone image file. This tool solves that problem in batch across hundreds or thousands of contacts at once.

Why Extract Photos from VCF Files?
Profile photos embedded in VCF files are the only portable, client-independent copy of a contact's photo. When migrating between phone platforms, CRM systems or email clients, embedded contact photos are routinely lost or stripped. Extracting them first preserves the complete contact record. For HR teams, designers and corporate communications professionals, extracting contact photos in bulk from a company address book export is a common workflow with no dedicated tool on the market until now.

Key Features
Batch Photo Extraction: Load a single VCF or an entire folder of VCF files and extract every embedded PHOTO property in one pass.
JPG and PNG Output: Save extracted photos in the format that fits your workflow — JPG for smaller files, PNG for lossless quality.
Filename Provenance: Every extracted image is saved with the contact's full name as the filename — no unnamed photo_001 files.
Supports vCard 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0: All three vCard versions use different PHOTO encoding methods. This tool handles all three correctly.
Base64 Decoding: Embedded PHOTO data is decoded from Base64 and reconstructed into a valid image file automatically.
No Email Client Required: Works directly from VCF files exported from any source — Gmail, Outlook, iPhone, Android or CRM export.
Fully Offline: No contacts or photos are uploaded to any server at any stage.
