CrossLink for Planner
by PowerGraph
Cross-project task dependencies for Microsoft Planner Premium — link, monitor, accept.
CrossLink adds the one capability Microsoft Planner Premium doesn't have: dependencies between plans.
Program managers coordinating multiple plans know the problem — a milestone in someone else's plan drives a task in yours, but Planner Premium can't connect them. Dates slip silently, and you find out in a status meeting.
CrossLink lets you create explicit links between tasks across plans, then monitors them for you. When a date you depend on moves, CrossLink flags it. Nothing in your plan changes until you click Accept — no surprise cascades, no one else rewriting your schedule.
How it works
- Link: Connect a task in your plan to a milestone or task in any other plan — a "get" on your side, a "give" on theirs.
- Monitor: A single dashboard shows every link you're watching across all your plans. Open it each morning; anything that drifted is flagged with the exact variance in days.
- Accept: Review each change and accept it in place — or leave the gap visible until you're ready. You stay in control of your schedule.
- Visualize: A cross-plan timeline shows linked tasks from multiple plans side by side, so you can see drift in context and act on it right there.
