Apache Kvrocks on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Apache Kvrocks is a distributed key-value NoSQL database that speaks the Redis protocol while persisting data to disk via RocksDB, giving you Redis-compatible APIs with the economics of disk-based storage. This image is built and maintained by cloudimg on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base.
### What's included
- Apache Kvrocks built from the official Apache source release, managed by systemd
- Redis-compatible endpoint on port 6666, bound to loopback for security
- A unique password generated on first boot (no shared default credential)
- RocksDB data stored on a dedicated managed data disk
- Automatic security updates enabled
### Getting started
Retrieve the generated password with `sudo cat /root/kvrocks-credentials.txt`, then connect with any Redis client: `redis-cli -p 6666 -a <password>`. Existing Redis tooling and client libraries work unchanged. The deployment guide on cloudimg.co.uk covers configuration, persistence tuning, and day-2 operations.
