Secure sandboxes for developers and AI agents in your Azure subscription
Citrix SecurSpaces Community Edition is a self-hosted platform for secure, centrally managed workspaces on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Developers use them to write code, and teams use them to run AI agents in isolation. Source code, credentials, tools and agent activity stay inside the environment, not on endpoints.
Secure workspaces for developers and AI agents
- Developers work in preconfigured Linux workspaces from a browser-based IDE or a local editor, including VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Kiro and JetBrains IDEs.
- AI agents run in sandboxed workspaces that contain only the tools, data and network access the task requires. Agents can run attended, alongside a user, or unattended, started by a pipeline or orchestrator.
Packaged once, self-provisioned repeatedly
Workspace templates define container images, tools, repositories, resource allocations and settings. A validated environment for a developer team or an agent can be self-provisioned in minutes and organized by project. Persistent home directories keep work between sessions.Centralized security and governance
- Keep source code and workloads off endpoints.
- Keep repository and service credentials out of reach of agents: the integrated secure proxy injects them at runtime.
- Control images, tools and resources through templates.
- Apply access controls and outbound network policies per workspace.
- Protect data with clipboard, upload and download controls.
- Record platform activity for audit, with export to your SIEM.
- Attribute AI token consumption to user, project and workspace through an AI gateway.

Up to 20 registered users and 10 workspaces, with all SecurSpaces features included. The SecurSpaces software and license are provided at no charge. You provide, operate and pay for the Azure infrastructure it runs on, including AKS nodes, storage, networking, public IP addresses and DNS.Deployment prerequisites
- A public Azure subscription in which you hold at least the contributor role at subscription scope.
- A dedicated AKS cluster with Linux AMD64 nodes. ARM64 is not supported.
- A DNS domain or subdomain you control that can be delegated to Azure DNS.
- Outbound access to the endpoints listed in Network destinations.
Updates and security fixes
Your deployment stays on the version you installed. Updates are not applied automatically. Citrix publishes new versions, including security fixes, in the release notes. To upgrade to a new version, contact Citrix through the SecurSpaces community forum.
