Kamai

Kamai turns construction blueprints into measured takeoff data. Use Kamai in Microsoft 365 Copilot to read your projects, plans and takeoff quantities without leaving the chat. It is built for estimators, quantity surveyors and contractors who already process their drawings in Kamai.

With Kamai in Copilot you can:

- List your Kamai projects and blueprints in an interactive panel.

- Get the takeoff for a sheet: counts, areas and lengths per class, such as rooms and spaces, walls, doors, windows and fixtures.

- Ask about individual elements: which rooms were detected, how large each space is, which doors sit on a plan.

- Open a plan with its measured shapes drawn on it.

- Create a project and add a blueprint PDF for processing, after you confirm the action.

Try asking:

- Show me my Kamai projects.

- What takeoff quantities were measured on the floor plan in my latest project?

- List the rooms detected on that plan with their areas.

Requirements and limitations:

- A Kamai account with an active paid Kamai subscription is required. The agent reaches only the projects that account can already see. To create an account and choose a plan, go to https://app.kamai.io/get-started.

- You sign in to Kamai once, in a pop-up window, the first time you use the agent.

- Blueprint PDFs are added through the upload panel. Files attached to the chat are not passed to Kamai.

- A new blueprint is processed in the background and can be queried when processing finishes.

- Elevations, sections, title sheets and index sheets usually contain no measurable takeoff. The agent says so instead of estimating.

- Quantities are produced automatically and should be checked against the drawing before commercial use.

- Project data, class names and the interactive panels are in English.
