Write and review customer messages in your brand's voice in Word, Outlook and Copilot with this app.
CommScore is for teams who write to customers: customer experience, communications, marketing and service teams.
It holds your organisation's brand voice guides and scores customer communications (emails, letters, text messages and notices) from 1 to 5 on five pillars: clarity; certainty; structure, style and grammar; brand alignment; and customer experience. Each score comes with the top fixes and the quoted text behind them.
In Word and Outlook: select text in a document or an email to get a live score and a rewrite in your brand's voice that you can apply in place.
In Microsoft 365 Copilot: ask Copilot to draft a communication for one of your brands, check an existing one, rewrite it and re-score it, or check wording against the brand's preferred and avoided terms.
Limitations: the Word and Outlook add-in runs in Office on the web, Word on Windows and Mac, and Outlook on Windows; it isn't available in Outlook on Mac, on mobile or in perpetual versions of Office. Scores are guidance, not a pass or fail.

Sign in with your work Microsoft account if your organisation is connected to CommScore, or with your CommScore email. The Copilot features need a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. Scoring and rewriting use your workspace's monthly AI credits.
