It is the night before the numbers are due. Open the workbook you are closing the month with — or the payroll register you are about to approve — and Kixlogic Hero reads every sheet and tells you what is wrong: the total that does not foot, the formula someone typed over, the employee paid after they left. Each finding is explained in a sentence an auditor would accept, and the fix is one click away.

It runs on your computer. The add-in reads the open workbook inside Excel and writes only into it. Its own code makes no network call: no upload, no telemetry, no analytics, no AI model. Nothing about your client's workbook is transmitted anywhere, which is what makes the tool usable on confidential engagements at all.

Two powers. Close the books runs the whole rule library over a month-end workbook: workbook integrity, tie-outs, journal entries, reconciliations, identities, records, dates, payroll and extracts. Payroll register runs the payroll lens: register cross-foot, hours against the pay period, pay after termination, rate and bank details against the employee master, duplicates, FICA and Medicare against the statutory rates, garnishments under the federal cap, unmapped codes, mid-period proration, and more.

Ninety-two utilities, on eleven ribbon menus, for the work around the checks: convert numbers and dates stored as text, break links to other workbooks, highlight typed values inside formula ranges, build a sheet index, split and combine columns, trim and case text, find duplicates, and the ten tickmarks you sign a workpaper with. Twenty-five trade menus add 125 one-click commands named for the job, such as Check Freight Invoices, Compare Supplier Bids and Build Change Order Log.

An audit trail that travels with the file. Every finding names the rule that produced it, in plain English. Dispositions — no action, corrected, accepted — are written to a review sheet inside the workbook with reviewer and date, and the audit memo becomes a worksheet. When an auditor asks what was checked, the answer is already written down.

Every change is reviewable. A utility shows you what it is about to change before it changes it, and one click undoes it.
