Practice Hub is case management software for HR consultants and small HR practices. This add-in puts a File to case button in Outlook, so client emails end up on the right case without downloading, forwarding or copying and pasting.
Open an email, click File to case, and pick the case. The email is saved to the case in Practice Hub exactly as it arrived, with its attachments. It works for emails you've received and emails you've sent.
What it does
- Suggests open cases for the client the sender belongs to, matched on their email address or company domain.
- Finds the case straight away when the subject contains a case reference, such as [PH-0143].
- Lets you search every case by client, case name or reference.
- Tells you if an email has already been filed, and where, so nothing is filed twice.
- Keeps the full email, attachments included, on the case for your records and audit trail.
Who it's for
HR consultants, employment advisers and HR practices who run their client work in Practice Hub and handle cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence and redundancies by email.
Your data
The add-in only reads the email you have open, and only while you're using it. When you open the panel, the email's subject and the addresses on it are checked against your own Practice Hub account to suggest a case. The email itself is only sent to Practice Hub when you click File. It can't read the rest of your mailbox, send emails or change anything in Outlook. It signs in with your Practice Hub login, not your Microsoft account, and you can disconnect it at any time from the panel or from Practice Hub's settings.
What you need
A Practice Hub subscription and an admin login for your practice. Plans and a free trial are at practice-hub.co.uk/pricing.php. The add-in is included on every plan at no extra cost.
Works in Outlook on the web, the new Outlook for Windows, classic Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac, with Microsoft 365, Outlook.com and Exchange accounts. It isn't available in the Outlook mobile apps.
