How it works
- An admin creates a connection program and chooses the audience, group size, and cadence (for example, every two weeks).
- Each round, Alfy pairs members of the selected channel or group chat and posts a friendly introduction right in the conversation.
- Alfy helps each pair find a time to meet, with optional calendar integration to check availability, and shares conversation starters to break the ice.

Setup and requirements
- Alfy works with Microsoft Teams and requires a BuddiesHR account.
- Connection programs are created and managed by an admin on the BuddiesHR web dashboard, which you can open anytime from a link in the bot.
- Alfy pairs people within the channel or group chat where it is added, so add it to the teams whose members you want to connect.
- Alfy works in standard channels and group chats. Shared channels are not supported.
Get started (installing Alfy is your sign-up)
- Add Alfy to a team, standard channel, or group chat. That install signs you up: your BuddiesHR account is created automatically and whoever installs Alfy becomes its admin, so there is no separate registration form to fill in first.
- Alfy sends you a message with a link to the BuddiesHR dashboard.
- Create your first connection program (audience, group size, cadence) and Alfy handles the pairing from the next round on.
In a chat with Alfy, type "settings" to manage your programs, snooze, calendar, and recent connections, or "help" to see everything Alfy can do.
