Engineering teams keep their calculations in spreadsheets, and spreadsheets drift. Formulas get copied between workbooks, assumptions change without anyone noticing, and by the time a calculation reaches review nobody is certain which version is correct.

CalcTree keeps the calculation in one place, versioned and reviewable. This add-in brings it into Excel.

Run a calculation from a cell

=CALCTREE.CALC() runs a calculation from your CalcTree workspace against values in your sheet and returns the outputs. The logic lives in CalcTree, so you are not maintaining a copy of it in every workbook.

=CALCTREE.BULK_CALC() runs the same calculation across many rows in a single request, for load cases, member schedules, or any parametric run.

Browse and insert

The task pane lists the calculations in your workspace. Open one to see its inputs, outputs and units, preview the full report, then insert it as a named Excel formula without typing arguments by hand. Pin the ones you use often to favourites.

Know what is behind the number

Every result comes from a calculation you can open, read and check, with its inputs and its report alongside it. When a reviewer asks where a number came from, you can show them.

What you need

A CalcTree account and a workspace API key. Works in Excel on Windows, Mac and the web. Installing a calculation as a named formula requires Excel 365.
