OWOX Data Marts
by OWOX
Self-serve analyst-defined data in Excel — BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks and more
Every time a business user needs one more column, they open a ticket. Every time they want a different filter, another ticket. Every answer takes days. OWOX Data Marts ends the queue — inside the workbook they already use.
Your data team defines each data mart once in OWOX: the SQL, table or view, the joins, the business logic and the access rules. In Excel, a business user picks that data mart from a list, chooses the columns they want, filters and sorts them, and runs it. The result lands as a report bound to the sheet, ready to refresh whenever the numbers need to be current. No SQL, no export files, no warehouse credentials.
What you can do
- Search a library of governed data marts — the list shows only what your OWOX permissions allow.
- Pick exactly the columns you need out of everything the mart exposes, including fields from joined data marts.
- Filter on any field, sort, aggregate and cap rows — all without writing SQL.
- Read each column's definition in plain English, delivered into the sheet alongside the data.
- Keep several reports in one workbook and refresh one or all of them in a click.
- Work in Excel for the web, Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac from the same add-in.
Numbers you can defend
Every figure traces back to a data mart an analyst owns and can show you. Nothing is generated on the fly, so the same definition of revenue holds whether it is read in Excel, in Google Sheets or in a BI tool. When a business user adds a column, they extend the analyst's model — they do not invent a new one.
Who it is for
Data analysts who own the data model and want to stop fulfilling one-off export requests. Business users who need one specific number inside a workbook they already built, without waiting on anyone.
Sales and marketing reporting
OWOX ingests Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Marketing, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Criteo, Reddit Ads, X Ads and Shopify into your warehouse. Analysts model spend, campaign performance and revenue there once; marketing and sales teams read the result in Excel — campaign pacing, cost by channel, pipeline and revenue — against a single definition instead of several spreadsheets that quietly drift apart.
Supported warehouses
Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Athena and Amazon Redshift.
What you need
The add-in is free to install and requires an OWOX Data Marts account, which you can create at owox.com. Every new project starts with a balance of free credits, so you can install the add-in and load your first data mart without paying anything. Each report run consumes credits. Once the free balance is used up, continued refreshing requires a paid OWOX subscription — your workbooks, reports and data marts all stay intact.
