K-Pulse is a SharePoint Framework Application Customizer that helps organizations publish timely, targeted notifications across modern SharePoint sites.
It is designed for internal communications, HR, IT, compliance, training and operational teams that need important information to remain visible without relying solely on email or news posts.
Target the right people
- Publish notifications to all site users or selected SharePoint audiences.
- Resolve users contained in Microsoft Entra ID security groups, including nested groups.
- Display messages from local, hub, home, root or configured data-source sites.
Control how and when messages appear
- Schedule release and expiry dates.
- Choose full-width banners or compact floating notifications.
- Configure message types, icons, colors and display order.
- Add links to supporting pages, documents or other resources.
- Allow users to dismiss messages or require an explicit acknowledgement.
Measure engagement
Paid licenses provide acknowledgement and dismissal tracking, cross-device response status and interactive reporting. Site owners can review engagement by user, audience, message type and release period, including completion rates and response details.
Freemium and paid editions
The Freemium edition supports local-site notifications with an active-message limit. A valid paid license unlocks acknowledgements, usage tracking, engagement reporting and messages from other SharePoint sites. A separate purchase is therefore required to use these enhanced features.
Built for SharePoint Online
K-Pulse uses SharePoint lists for configuration and operational data and respects SharePoint access controls. Microsoft Graph permissions are used for capabilities such as nested group membership resolution, audience-size snapshots and representative test data. Features that require Graph are safely unavailable when the necessary permissions have not been approved.
We recognize that as an Application Customizer, K-Pulse will not be needed on all sites and so as a design decision we have removed the option to globally deploy the solution package. K-Pulse must be explicitly installed on the sites where it is required
