Bank Gateway
by JEMEL
Send payments and receive bank statements directly from Business Central, no file exchange needed.
Stop downloading and uploading bank files. Bank Gateway connects Business Central directly to your bank via secure API — send payments, receive statements, auto-match incoming payments to customers and vendors, and audit every API call.
How It Works
Mutual TLS (mTLS) certificate authentication between Business Central and your bank. No middleware, no Azure Functions, no third-party services.
Send Payments Directly
Click Send to Bank on Payment Journal lines — Bank Gateway generates SEPA Credit Transfer (pain.001) XML, validates company data, SWIFT, recipient IBAN and amount, and submits to the bank API. Live status on the journal line: Accepted (ACTC), Settled (ACSC), or Rejected (RJCT). Validation errors appear in a FactBox before submission.
Receive Statements Automatically
End-of-day statements (camt.053) and intraday reports (camt.052) imported via API into Bank Account Reconciliation or the Payment Reconciliation Journal. Schedule the batch fetch report via Job Queue for unattended daily import across all gateway-enabled accounts.
Automatic Payment Application
Bank Gateway extends Business Central's standard matcher with a four-tier IBAN- and history-based proposal engine. Unmatched lines are tagged with a likely Customer, Vendor, or Employee, and the reason is shown in the Match Details FactBox so you can review before posting.
- IBAN history — past payments from the same sender IBAN (Medium confidence)
- Master-data IBAN — IBAN registered on a Customer/Vendor/Employee (Medium)
- Sender name history — past payments with the same Related-Party Name (Low)
- Description history — similar transaction text (Low)
Posting stays manual — Bank Gateway proposes the party, you confirm. Per-bank toggle.
Security & Audit
Transport certificate stored encrypted in IsolatedStorage (per-company), 30-day expiry warning on the Bank Account Card, and a Sandbox mode for testing. Every API call logged with HTTP status, duration, and full request/response XML — viewable in the built-in XML viewer.
