AL Document Template

AL Document Template lets you define several document "profiles" - each a complete setup of its own - and apply them to any sales or purchase document, without ever touching the single standard Sales & Receivables Setup or Purchases & Payables Setup of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Standard Business Central gives you exactly one of each per company; when several document flows need different rules, you either keep switching the global setup by hand or write custom code. AL Document Template replaces both with named, reusable templates you pick on the document header.

Key capabilities

• Full setup per template, not per company - a sales template and a purchase template each replicate the standard setup options: complete number series, Discount / Credit Limit / Stockout warnings, document archiving, price-calculation method and Job Queue posting.
• Applies to every document type - one template field on the header drives quotes, orders, invoices, credit memos, blanket orders and returns, on both the sales and the purchase side.
• Carried through to posting - the chosen template is propagated from the header onto the posted documents and ledger entries, so the profile that produced a document stays visible after posting.
• "No G/L" / simulated / proforma documents - the No G/L Ledger Entry, Skip Create Inv. Document and Automatically Invoice flags let a template produce documents with no accounting impact, for simulated or proforma scenarios.
• Italian-market fields on the template - number series and options such as Fattura PA Nos., VAT Exemption Nos. and Bank Receipts are available directly on the profile.

AL Document Template is the base that AL Logistic, AL Commission, AL Globe, AL Credit Insurance, AL Recipe, AL Simulated G/L Scenarios and MDS use to generate documents - the same conventions and prefixes across the AppLibra platform, composed over the free base (AL Foundation App and AL Message Passing). Please note: the Italian fiscal localization is delivered by a separate app, AL Document Template IT, on top of these template profiles. The "no G/L" / simulated documents are intended for simulated and proforma scenarios - use them with care where genuine accounting impact is expected.
