Island extends Microsoft Purview DLP to the browser presentation layer, enforcing policies at the exact moment data is typed, pasted, uploaded, downloaded, or shared across web and AI applications.
The integration connects the Island Enterprise Browser and Island Extension with Microsoft Purview network data security through an Azure AD consented application via a Microsoft Graph API integration. Once enabled, browser level inspection events are evaluated by existing Purview network collection and DLP policies using the same classifiers, sensitive information types, and sensitivity labels already configured in your tenant.
No additional endpoint agents or instrumentation are required.
Island enables real time inspection of typed input, file transfers, extension activity, and AI interactions across managed and unmanaged devices. Matching events surface automatically in Purview, enriching Activity Explorer, DSPM, and Insider Risk workflows with presentation layer visibility.
