The TEST, Inspection and Certification (TIC, from English Testing, Inspection and Certification) sectors ARE CONSTITUTED by conformity assessment bodies that provide control, inspection, testing, verification, quality assurance and certification services.

In general, these services can be internal (USED BY THE SAME PERSON THAT USES THEM) or external (SUPPLIED IN OUTSOURCING).

Each specific area can refer to a national directive that outlines the scope of intervention and the individual processes to which the bodies must comply in their daily operational life.
