Global-Active Device Cloud Quorum

Hitachi Global-Active Device Cloud Quorum on Azure is intended for organizations using Hitachi VSP Global-Active Device (GAD) to build high-availability storage environments across sites. It provides a cloud-based quorum service in Microsoft Azure, allowing customers to use an Azure-hosted quorum disk instead of deploying and maintaining a dedicated on-premises quorum device or third-site infrastructure. The cloud quorum supports GAD by providing the heartbeat and arbitration function used by paired storage systems to monitor each other and help determine which system should continue server I/O during communication or storage-system failures. This helps simplify deployment, reduce infrastructure overhead, and support resilient business-continuity operations for critical workloads. This offer requires supported Hitachi VSP storage systems, a configured GAD environment, required Hitachi software, network connectivity, and a supported quorum-disk configuration.
