Hivebuy for Microsoft Teams brings your procurement workflow into the chat tool your team already uses. You can find products, raise purchase requests, and approve them without leaving Teams.

AI-Powered Search

The Hivebuy bot uses AI to understand your requests in natural language. Simply message the bot describing what you need — it will search your product catalogue, suggest relevant items, and guide you through raising a purchase request. The AI assistant is designed to help only with procurement-related topics. If asked about unrelated or inappropriate subjects, it will politely let you know it can only assist with purchasing and procurement queries.

How It Works

Search for what you need by messaging the Hivebuy bot directly. Browse results, compare options, and turn your choice into a purchase request in a few clicks. Approvers get notified when action is needed and can approve or reject requests right from the notification card. Requesters get an update when their request is approved and ready to order. Admins manage team notifications from the Hivebuy web app.

AI-generated responses are clearly labelled within the app. We recommend reviewing all AI-generated suggestions before submitting a purchase request.

Reporting Objectionable or Inappropriate Content

If you encounter any AI-generated response that seems inappropriate, offensive, or outside the scope of procurement, please report it directly to our support team. We take all reports seriously and use them to continuously improve the assistant.

Requirements

You need an active Hivebuy account to use this integration. Product catalog, pricing, and availability depend on your organization's Hivebuy setup, and team-level settings are managed in the web app outside of Teams.
