The lollipop chart is a chart usually made up of lines and circles. Like a bar chart, a lollipop chart is used to easily compare a single measure for categorical data. However, when categories are many, they result in a limited view of the information in the graph, forcing the user to scroll to see them as a whole. To avoid this inconvenience and have a complete overview of the information to convey, the lollipop graphic from VisualizeIT can display the first N values of the selected measured, grouping the remaining into one, called “Other”.
