Run Multiple Business Entities in a Single Business Central Company
Fusion5 Business Hub lets you operate multiple divisions, branches, or legal entities inside one Business Central company — without the cost and complexity of managing separate companies. By introducing Business Groups, the app segregates master data, transactions, documents, journals, and reports, so each part of your organisation works with its own data while sharing a single, unified environment.
Why Business Hub?
Growing organisations often outgrow a single set of books but aren't ready to split into separate companies. Business Hub bridges that gap. You gain entity-level separation for reporting, access, and compliance, while keeping consolidated visibility, shared master data where it makes sense, and a single point of administration.
Key Capabilities
- Business Groups — Define distinct sub-entities, each with its own customers, vendors, items, locations, banking, and company information.
- VAT Groups — Group Business Groups for consistent tax processing. Each VAT Group links automatically to a Business Central Business Unit for clean VAT reporting and settlement.
- Dimension-based segregation — Assign shortcut dimensions to Business Groups to drive filtering, posting, and reporting across the entire system.
- User access control — Control which Business Groups each user can see and work with, with a configurable default access level for unassigned users.
- Master data segregation — Tag customers, vendors, items, bank accounts, and fixed assets to Business Groups for true data isolation within one company.
- Document & journal segregation — Sales, purchase, and financial documents are linked to Business Groups for accurate access filtering and reporting.
- On-charge / recharge — Redistribute costs and revenue between Business Groups automatically, generating the matching sales and purchase invoices to settle inter-group obligations.
- Company information per Business Group — Each group carries its own address, contact, and banking details that flow through to document output.
Enhanced Reporting
Business Hub extends standard Business Central reports with Business Group and VAT Group detail, and installs custom layouts automatically — no manual configuration required:
- G/L Register and VAT Register include Business Group and VAT Group columns, with filtering by group.
- Calc. and Post VAT Settlement processes and reports per VAT Group.
- Remittance Advice prints individually addressed sections using each Business Group's own company and banking details.
- Aged Accounts Payable / Receivable automatically carry Business Group filters through to the underlying ledger entries.
Batch Operations Across Groups
Run key financial processes — Close Income Statement, Calc. and Post VAT Settlement, Suggest Vendor Payments, and Calculate Depreciation — per Business Group, with permission controls that govern who can execute batch journal processing.
Built for Control and Compliance
- Granular permission sets for read, use, and administration roles.
- Guided setup experience to enable Business Hub and configure dimensions, VAT Groups, and Business Groups.
- Data isolation that keeps each entity's records visible only to authorised users.
