SharePoint for Cloud Migration: 3 weeks assesment

In order to be able to migrate a Microsoft SharePoint environment to Sharepoint online or Microsoft Teams in a Microsoft365 envirionment, it must be exactly clarified what solutions and data are on the Microsoft SharePoint farm. The following questions are taken into account:

• Which sites can possibly be archived (do not invest in sites that are not used)
• Which scripts and solutions are in use?
• Which documents can be deleted and which can be migrated to SharePoint online Microsoft Teams

What can I do with Microsoft Sharepoint? A cloud-based service hosted by Microsoft and offered to businesses of all sizes. Instead of installing and implementing a SharePoint Server, each company can subscribe to a Microsoft 365 plan or the standalone SharePoint Online. Employees can create websites to share documents and information with colleagues, partners, and customers.

In our assesment we meassure the following criteria:

1. Farm Scan performed using the SMAT (SharePoint Migration Assessment Tool)
2. Analyse the structore of the SharePoint farm
3. Export CSV-files and creation of statistics
4. Create findings and recommendatins report
5. Present the findings and recommendations to the customer
6. Create migration strategy

To perform the actions, the following stakeholders are required form the customer:

• SharePoint Administrator to get access to the excisting SharePoint evirionment
• Collaboration lead for the future collaboration modell
• Business descission maker for budgeting and finanzial purposes
