SQL 2008 to Azure Optimized Migration: 3-Wk Imp

No cost migration of SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2 to Microsoft Azure; Optimized Migration to a subscription-based Virtual Machine by silver partner EdKal. This solution enables customers to received continued security updates until fully upgraded to supported releases. The solution includes assessment, recommendations, lift & shift, discounted consolidation and SQL Managed Instance backed by Edkal 24x7 support and Silver Managed Services. EdKal will help set up pay-as-you-go billing provision for all the Azure Services. The engagement consists of:

1. Assessment (2-3 days): Pre-migration inventory, solution architecture, network, and security assessment
2. Proof of concept (1-2 days): Development of proof of concept for the proposed implementation to determine if the solution meets the requirements
3. Implementation (8-9 days): Complete optimized migration of the of SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2 to Microsoft Azure with post-migration validation of migrated functionalities

4. Training (1-2 days): Post migration training to the users with required user manuals
