XMatchExclusive solves a critical gap in Excel's lookup capabilities. Standard functions like VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP return the same match multiple times. XMatchExclusive ensures each match is used only once - perfect for 1-to-1 assignments where duplicates cause real problems.
The Problem
When assigning serial numbers to orders, matching employees to tasks, or allocating inventory to requests, traditional Excel lookups fail. They return the first match every time, creating duplicate assignments that require manual cleanup.
The Solution
XMatchExclusive tracks which values have been matched and automatically moves to the next available option. Simply use the formula like any other lookup function:
=XME.XMATCHEXCLUSIVE(lookup_value, lookup_range, return_range, [not_found])
