Axmo Data Modelling
بواسطة MILLER INNOVATIONS SRL
Real financial models in Excel: named dimensions, data series, formulas that survive a deleted row.
Axmo Data Modelling adds a real modelling layer to Excel. Not another way to write formulas — a different powerful way to describe what your model means.
In a normal spreadsheet, a forecast is a grid of cell references. The structure lives in your head, the formulas break when someone inserts a row, and nobody else can safely change anything. Axmo lets you say what you actually mean: Revenue by Country and Year, Profit is Revenue minus Cost, Closing Balance
is last month's balance plus this month's flow. You define it once, and it holds.
What you get
- Named dimensions. Define Country, Year, Product, Scenario — whatever your model is organised by —
and reuse them everywhere. Add a country and every series that uses it extends automatically.
- Data series with real formulas. Write Profit = Revenue - Cost once, and it applies across
every combination. No dragging, no copying, no wondering whether row 400 got missed.
- Recurrence and stock-flow. Reference a series at the previous period — Balance = Balance[Year[-1]]
+ NetFlow. This is what makes real financial modelling possible: opening and closing balances, depreciation
schedules, cumulative positions, anything where this period depends on the last one.
- Aggregation that works the way you expect. Build hierarchies — countries into regions, regions into
totals — and let the model roll up. Sum where summing is right, average where it isn't, and say which.
- Your existing Excel data. Point Axmo at a worksheet range or table and it reads from there. Whatever
you already use to get data into Excel — Power Query, a database connection, a paste from your ERP — keeps
working exactly as it does now.
- Results written back to the sheet. Computed values land in ranges you choose, as ordinary Excel
values. Chart them, format them, reference them from other formulas, send the workbook to someone who has never
heard of Axmo.
- Two custom functions. DS.DATA pulls a value from any series at any coordinate;
DS.INFO reports on model structure. Use them anywhere in the workbook, like any other Excel
function.
Your model lives in your workbook
Axmo stores your model inside the Excel file itself. There is no account, no sign-in, and no copy of your
work on our servers — we could not retrieve your model if you asked us to, because we do not have it. Email the
workbook, put it in version control, hand it to a client, open it in five years. It is a file, and it is
all yours.
Free
Axmo Data Modelling is free to use, including for commercial and professional work. No trial period, no
credit card, no feature that stops working after thirty days.
Getting started
Open the Axmo Model tab on the Excel ribbon and select Show Panel. Then select Load
Demo for a worked model you can take apart — a small profit-and-loss built on real dimensions, with
aggregation and output ranges already wired up. Guides and reference material are at axmo.it/learn.
Who it is for
Finance teams who have outgrown raw Excel. Consultants and fractional CFOs delivering models to clients.
Analysts whose organisation will not approve another cloud subscription. Anyone who has opened a twelve-tab
forecast and thought there had to be a better way to express it.
Requirements
Excel on Windows (Microsoft 365), Excel on Mac (Microsoft 365 or 2019 and later), and Excel on the web.
Excel on iPad is not supported.
