GetSheetAI is a conversational AI assistant for Microsoft Excel and Word. It helps you work with workbook data and document content through natural language while keeping you in control of what is read, changed, and written back.

Use GetSheetAI to clean messy tables, summarize ranges, generate or repair formulas, format reports, analyze workbook data, create structured outputs, and continue longer spreadsheet tasks with visible progress. You can ask for help in plain language, review the result, and let the add-in write values, formulas, formatting, or report sections into the workbook when the task requires it.

In Word, use GetSheetAI to summarize documents, rewrite selected text, expand or shorten content, improve structure and formatting, insert tables and images, and apply requested revisions directly. Completed document changes are shown clearly and can be undone individually when recovery is supported.

GetSheetAI can read the current workbook context and user-selected ranges so it can answer questions about the spreadsheet you are working on. It can also use supported reference files such as Excel, Word, CSV, JSON, Markdown, text files, and text-based PDFs when the user explicitly adds them to a task. Scanned PDFs and image-only files may require separate OCR support and are not promised as fully supported in this listing.

The add-in supports GetSheetAI accounts, Microsoft account sign-in, platform-managed AI models when enabled for the account, and user-provided compatible model keys for advanced users. Some features, model usage, quotas, or higher limits may require a paid GetSheetAI plan or a user-provided model key. The add-in is free to install from Microsoft Marketplace.

GetSheetAI requests the ReadWriteDocument permission because it needs to read workbook or document content that the user asks it to work with and write results only as part of user-initiated Excel or Word tasks.
