YumiPass Verify for Outlook

YumiPass Verify lets you request and collect verified proof of identity from your email contacts without leaving Outlook. Compose a message, choose the identity information you need, and YumiPass Verify embeds a secure QR code and a branded request into the email. Your recipient scans the code with the YumiPass mobile app, completes identity verification, and you receive the result as a signed Identity Certificate (PDF) or an inline Identity Report.

What you can do

• Send an identity verification request in a few clicks — right from the Outlook compose or read pane.
• Choose the identity information you collect — select the identity claims you need and optionally request the recipient's GPS position.
• Set a validity period — control how long the verification QR code stays active.
• Customize the request email — edit the outgoing template with a rich-text editor and dynamic placeholders (recipient, sender, claims, QR code).

Account requirement

YumiPass Verify requires a YumiPass account. Identity verification, QR code generation, and certificate issuance are performed by the YumiPass service (part of the RCDevs identity platform); the Outlook add-in provides the interface for sending verification requests and receiving results. The same account works across other YumiPass applications. You can create an account for free from the add-in or on the web.

For your recipients

Recipients need the free YumiPass mobile app to scan the QR code, verify their identity, and securely share the requested information.

Good to know

• A YumiPass account and sign-in are required before you can send verification requests.
• Recipients must have the YumiPass mobile app installed to complete identity verification.
• Verification results are available only after the recipient completes the requested verification steps.
• The identity verification process is performed by the YumiPass service; the Outlook add-in creates the request and displays the results inside Outlook.

Limitations

• YumiPass Verify currently supports identity documents that contain an NFC chip, including European national identity cards and electronic passports (ePassports).
