HelferChat

HelferChat puts a secure AI assistant right next to the document you are working on. Open the task pane in Word, Excel or PowerPoint and ask questions about the open file, or have the assistant make the change for you – no copying content into a browser tab, no switching context.

What the assistant can do

• Excel: explain a workbook, read sheets and ranges, write values and formulas, apply number formats, bold, font size, fill colours, borders and autofit, and add worksheets.
• Word: summarise or analyse the document, insert and rewrite text, run search and replace – optionally as tracked changes, so every edit stays a revision you can accept or reject.
• PowerPoint: read the deck, add slides and insert text boxes.

You stay in control

• Every change to your file is shown for approval before it is applied. Switch to "apply all" once you trust a workflow.
• Pin the current selection – a range, a paragraph, a shape – so the assistant answers about exactly that part.
• Reading tools never modify anything.

Built for European businesses

HelferChat is an Austrian AI platform built for GDPR and DSG compliance. Your data is processed in Europe and is never used to train AI models. Administrators manage users, roles, model access and usage limits centrally, and every request is logged for cost transparency.

One account, everywhere

The add-in uses the same HelferChat account as the web app: the same chat history, the same choice of leading AI models, the same file uploads and the same plan limits. Start a conversation in Excel and continue it in your browser.
