How to Use

1. Open an email that has a CAD attachment.
2. Click the CAD Viewer button on the ribbon.
3. Review the drawing or model in the task pane; drag the pane wider for more room.
4. If the email has several CAD attachments, pick one from the list at the top of the pane.

FAQ

• How do I open a DWG attachment without AutoCAD? Open the email, click the CAD Viewer button, and the drawing renders in the task pane. No AutoCAD or other CAD software is needed.
• Does it support DWF and DWFx files? Yes, including multi-sheet DWF drawing sets; a sheet picker appears over the viewer when a file has more than one sheet.
• What file types are supported? DWG and DXF for 2D drawings; DWF and DWFx design files; and STEP, STL, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, FBX, IFC, IGES, 3DM, 3DS, 3MF, AMF, BREP, DAE, OFF, PLY, and WRL for 3D models.
• Are my files uploaded anywhere? No. The attachment is read through Office and rendered inside the task pane; your CAD files are not uploaded to our servers.
• Do I need an account? No. The add-in runs right after installing, with no account to create and no sign-in.
• Which Outlook clients work? Outlook clients that support Mailbox add-ins (requirement set 1.8): Outlook on the web and the new Outlook on Windows, among others.
