Percipient

Percipient is an AI assistant designed for Microsoft Word that helps legal professionals review, analyze, and revise contracts and other legal documents more efficiently while staying in their drafting workflow.

Percipient is built for lawyers, legal operations teams, contract managers, and business professionals who work with legal documents. From the Percipient task pane, users can ask questions about the active document, summarize key provisions and potential risk areas, and request suggested revisions to selected clauses or to the document’s language.

For contract review workflows, Percipient can help classify material clauses, explain potential issues, suggest fallback positions, and generate proposed replacement language. Percipient is intended to stay focused on legal document review, drafting, and analysis workflows. If a user request is outside the supported legal-document use cases, the app should guide the user back to supported topics.

Percipient uses AI to generate summaries, classifications, draft language, and suggested redlines. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as legal advice. Users remain in control of the final document and should review all AI-generated outputs before relying on them or applying suggested edits. Suggested edits can be reviewed in the task pane and, where available, applied back into Microsoft Word as tracked changes or inserted at the cursor.

Percipient provides a mechanism to report objectionable, inappropriate, or concerning AI-generated content to the developer. To report an issue with AI-generated content, request moderation review, or contact support, use the Percipient support portal at https://percipient.co/contact/. Reported concerns will be reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.

Percipient works with Microsoft Word documents opened by the user. It does not add a separate Microsoft Teams chat, bot, meeting, or channel workflow. A Percipient account is required, and access is currently invite-only.
