Create and track Formant Theopolis investigations from Microsoft Teams
Formant Investigation Bot connects Microsoft Teams with Formant Theopolis, Formant’s Physical AI platform for managing robot fleets. Use the bot to create a Formant Theopolis investigation directly from a message in a Teams channel and keep the whole team updated in one place. When an investigation is created, the bot posts status and progress updates as threaded replies to the original message so conversations stay organized and easy to follow.

To use this app, you must have access to the Formant Platform and complete a one-time configuration. Channel monitoring must be enabled for the relevant Teams channels in the Formant Platform at https://platform.formant.io/investigations/channel-monitors, so that incoming messages can be processed as investigation requests. If you’re already a Formant customer, configure channel monitoring in the Formant Platform or contact Formant support at hello@formant.io

Each user must also link their Formant account with their Microsoft Teams account through the My Connections page in the Formant Platform. If a Teams channel does not have a corresponding channel monitor configured in Formant, messages from that channel are safely ignored, helping to avoid unnecessary noise for your team. Some actions, such as viewing investigation details or configuration pages, may open the Formant web application in a browser outside of Teams.
