What you can do
- OCR on any PDF or scan: run OCR directly in Excel, without separate software. Text is recognized in scans and digital PDFs.
- Snips: draw on a document to pull text, numbers and tables into cells. Text, sum and table snips, plus signature verification. Every snip keeps a link to its source.
- Automatic document matching: match invoice numbers, dates and amounts in your sheet against source documents, and link each match to the page it came from.
- AI extraction: describe in plain language what to extract. The AI builds the extraction schema: text, numbers, dates and tables, with automatic document filtering.
- Form extraction: set up a template once on a sample invoice, receipt or bank statement, then batch-extract every similar document.
- Probe: ask questions about your documents and get answers with citations to the exact place in the source, ready for your workpapers.
- AI agent: describe a task in plain language. The agent operates Excel and the Blast Audit features for you: it writes formulas, creates snips, runs matching and builds macros.
- Version comparison: compare two versions of a document side by side and spot changes, additions and deletions.
