Codex KPI Card
Branded KPI tile with dynamic accent colour, change pill, and subtitle. Data-driven formatting.
A purpose-built KPI tile for Power BI — clean layout, dynamic accent colour, change pill, and subtitle, all driven by your data.
Codex KPI Card replaces Power BI's built-in card visual with a tile that communicates status at a glance. Every element — value, label, subtitle, change indicator, accent border — is configurable from the format pane or driven directly from your measures.
New in v2: background transparency, a full border card, conditional-formatting (fx) colour rules, and premium corner-accent chrome.
IDEAL FOR
- Executive dashboards where clarity and pixel efficiency matter
- Multi-metric pages with consistent card styling across 4 to 36 KPIs
- Operational monitoring where green / amber / red status must be obvious at a glance
- Report templates that must match strict corporate brand guidelines
KEY FEATURES
- Dynamic accent colour driven by a measure — each card reflects its own status
- Change pill with directional arrow — supports up-is-good, down-is-good, or neutral logic
- Subtitle line for context — e.g. "vs last week", "YTD", "estimated cost"
- Measure-driven text colour — value colour aligns with card status
- Full font controls on every text element — family, size, bold, italic, underline, alignment, colour
- Optional internal title with full font and alignment controls
- Hover tooltip showing measure name, value, subtitle, and change details
- Click to cross-filter other visuals on the page
- Minimal modern design — no chart junk, no unnecessary chrome
- Corner Accents — Corner Brackets, Accent Bar, or Glass Tube corner chrome, auto or custom tint
- Configurable card border — colour, transparency, width, and corner radius
- Background colour with 0–100% transparency — sits cleanly on any report canvas
- Conditional formatting (fx) on value, label, subtitle, and accent colours — drive colours from measures or rules
- High contrast mode support
PRO TIP
Use a single CardConfig table with a CardID filter per visual instance. That way the same six measures power 4 to 36 cards on a page, and each instance reads its own thresholds, labels, and accent rules.
