Classification Optimizer

Classification Optimizer helps you get the most out of your Microsoft Purview data classification. If you've ever wondered why certain sensitive information keeps slipping through, or why you're drowning in false positives, this agent is for you. It analyzes how your Sensitive Information Types (SITs) are actually performing in the real world, finds patterns you didn't know existed, and tells you exactly how to improve your classification accuracy.

The agent integrates with Microsoft Purview by evaluating the DLP and insider risk alerts available in Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting.

Agent tasks: Sensitive information type baseline metrics, SIT detection aggregation by user, device and file, SIT co-occurrence analysis (support, lift, conditional probability), automatic threshold derivation, pattern, redundancy and coverage gap interpretation, classifier recommendations (composite SITs, SIT adjustments, trainable classifier candidates), implementation plan

Input: Microsoft Purview DLP and insider risk alerts via Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting (AlertInfo, AlertEvidence), referenced sensitive information types (e.g. credit card, IBAN, passport, health, credentials), involved users, devices and files, time range in days (default 30), mode (quick, standard, deep), optional debug mode

Output: Classification optimization report with key metrics and derived thresholds, high-impact SIT patterns, redundancies, coverage gaps, 3–15 prioritized recommendations with rationale and expected benefit, implementation plan with effort and impact, optional debug section
