UniFi® OS Server Self-Hosted UniFi OS Console

بواسطة Cloud SOE

Self-host UniFi OS Server on Azure. Full UniFi OS console with Site Manager, IdP & Organizations.

Deploy UniFi OS Server on Microsoft Azure in minutes and run the complete UniFi OS management experience on your own cloud infrastructure. UniFi OS Server replaces the legacy self-hosted Network Server and provides the same management platform used by Cloud Keys and Cloud Gateways, including Organisations, identity provider (IdP) integration, Site Magic SD-WAN and full Site Manager compatibility for centralised multi-site management.

This image provides a hardened Azure deployment foundation with Podman and required system dependencies pre-configured. On first boot, the latest UniFi OS Server release is downloaded and installed directly from Ubiquiti's official distribution endpoint.

Why This Matters

For organisations currently running the legacy UniFi Network Server, UniFi OS Server represents the next generation of Ubiquiti's self-hosted platform. It introduces capabilities not available in the previous controller architecture, including multi-tenant Organisations for MSPs, identity provider integration with SSO and Site Magic SD-WAN for connecting distributed locations.

What You Get Out of the Box

  • Hardened Azure base operating system with CIS-aligned security configuration.
  • Podman (v4.3+) and required host dependencies pre-staged.
  • Let's Encrypt certificate import automation for trusted HTTPS console access.
  • Automated backup configuration for UniFi OS data protection.

Common Use Cases

  • MSP Multi-Tenant Management – Manage multiple customer environments using UniFi Organisations with logical separation under a centralised platform.
  • Legacy Network Server Migration – Move existing self-hosted UniFi deployments to Ubiquiti's current UniFi OS Server platform.
  • Enterprise Identity Integration – Connect UniFi management with your organisation's identity provider for centralised authentication and SSO workflows.
  • Multi-Site SD-WAN – Deploy Site Magic connectivity between distributed offices and branches while managing infrastructure from Azure.

Sizing Guidance

UniFi OS Server requirements depend primarily on the number of managed devices, sites, retained statistics and concurrent management activity. Storage performance is important due to controller databases, historical metrics and backups.

  • Small deployments (up to approximately 50 UniFi devices): Standard_D2s_v5 (2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM) with 64 GB Premium SSD managed disk
  • Production multi-site deployments: Standard_D4s_v5 (4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM) with 128 GB Premium SSD managed disk
  • Large MSP environments and larger device estates: Standard_D8s_v5 (8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM) with increased Premium SSD storage based on backup retention and historical data requirements
