GestioIP is a free, open source, web-based IP address management (IPAM) platform for IPv4 and IPv6 networks. It replaces a spreadsheet of subnets and hosts with a real inventory system: automated SNMP-based network discovery that walks your routers and switches to build a live picture of what is actually deployed, a searchable subnet and host database with locations, categories and custom columns, VLAN tracking, MAC address and ACL/port-usage visibility, and a scheduled-job engine that keeps the inventory current without manual re-entry.

This image delivers the complete stack — Apache, mod_perl and MariaDB — fully assembled and hardened, so a working IPAM deployment is answering requests within minutes of launch instead of after an afternoon spent working through a legacy Perl/CGI installer by hand. A self-managed deployment means installing a web server and its CGI/mod_perl stack, a database engine, three dozen Perl modules, then working through GestioIP's own multi-step browser installation wizard and hardening the credentials it creates. This image completes all of that before first boot, and closes the installer wizard permanently once your instance is provisioned so it can never be reached by anyone else. Compared with a community image you also get 24/7 expert support from cloudimg covering configuration, discovery scans, upgrades and troubleshooting.

Secure by default: no default, shared, or blank credentials ship in the image. There is no usable administrator login and no database schema at all in the captured image. On the first boot of your instance a one-shot service builds the complete GestioIP schema, generates a unique database password and a unique administrator password, rotates both into place, proves the new administrator password signs in through the real login form while confirming common default passwords are rejected, and only then starts the web server — which is gated on that bootstrap completing, so nothing can ever serve an unprovisioned instance.
