WebSSH

WebSSH2 is an open-source, web-based SSH client that provides a browser-accessible terminal for connecting to and managing remote Linux and Unix servers. It provides an intuitive web interface for SSH connections, authentication, terminal access, and remote server management, making it suitable for self-hosted web-based SSH environments.

WebSSH2 usage:

$ sudo su
$ apt update
$ apt install -y git curl build-essential
$ curl -fsSL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_22.x | bash -
$ apt install -y nodejs

$ cd /opt
$ git clone https://github.com/billchurch/webssh2.git
$ cd webssh2

$ node --version
$ npm --version

$ node -p "require('./package.json').version"

$ npm install

$ Start WebSSH2:
$ export WEBSSH2_LISTEN_IP=0.0.0.0
$ export WEBSSH2_LISTEN_PORT=2222
$ npm start

$ Check WebSSH2 is listening on port 2222:
$ ss -lntp | grep 2222

$ Test WebSSH2 locally:
$ curl -I http://127.0.0.1:2222/ssh

$ Access WebSSH2 in your browser:
# http://SERVER_IP:2222/ssh
