DocFusion Batch Sync VM

DocFusion Batch Sync VM is a pre-configured virtual machine with Windows Server 2022 Datacenter (Gen2) that connects your file systems to DocFusion Batch Processing. It watches the folders you nominate, sends what lands in them to your DocFusion tenant to become documents, and writes the results back out.

Operate it at a glance

A built-in operations console shows the whole appliance on one screen: each monitored folder as a pipeline (incoming, processing, awaiting collection) with 24-hour trends and Portal links; CPU, memory, disk and network; and a link-health indicator that warns when document flow is stalling. The log view turns raw service output into readable, colour-coded batch status cards with filters.

Set up from the console, not a configuration file

Sign in and the console opens. A guided setup connects you to your tenant, lets you pick a batch type from a live list, choose the folders to watch and start the service, with an immediate connection test.

What is included

• DocFusion Batch Engine Sync Tool – folder monitoring, batch submission and result collection, running as a background service.
• Operations console – pipeline health, resources, link health, readable logs and every setting. Reachable only locally or over an SSH tunnel.
• Managed SFTP – other systems drop input and collect documents over SFTP, configured from the console. Coexists with an existing OpenSSH setup.
• Secure remote administration – no public management port; administer over an SSH tunnel, even with nobody signed in.
• Automatic housekeeping – disk-pressure cleanup, log and output retention, stuck-batch detection. Incoming files are never deleted.
• DocBatch CLI – command-line tooling for scripted batch work.
• .NET 8, current Microsoft Edge and Windows cumulative updates.

Kept current

The image is rebuilt monthly from the latest Windows Server 2022 platform image and patched forward, so each release ships current Windows, Edge and .NET. Existing deployments can be upgraded in place.

What you need before deploying

This VM feeds an existing DocFusion tenant; it does not generate documents on its own. You need:

• An active DocFusion tenant with Batch Processing enabled
• Client credentials (a client ID and secret) for that tenant
• At least one batch type configured in the DocFusion Portal
• Outbound HTTPS connectivity from the VM to your DocFusion host
